The tearing strength of fabrics, paper, plastic film, or other similar materials in sheet form is determined by measurement of work done in tearing through a fixed length of the test specimen using the elemendorf tear tester.
Box Compression Testers offered by us is used to measure the compression strength of the corrugated boxes. The tester comprises two parts, one is for main instrument and the other is control panel. Manufactured using high-grade raw material, these testers comprise a set of blades. One of the blades is attached to the load measuring arrangement and the other one is movable plate, which moves with the assistance of motor, gearbox, screw and nut arrangements. The movable plates over travel as well as under travel facility. Further, the load measuring arrangement is digital. The box is placed on the lower plate in order to known its compression strength. As the plate moves, the box gets compressed and the compression load can be easily read on the digital indicator of the panel. The tester is painted with metallic paints and chrome & zinc plating is done to enhance its durability.

The ASIAN Bursting Strength Tester is designed to find bursting strength of fabric/leather/paper/paper board. A test specimen is held between two annular clamps under sufficient pressure to minimize slippage. The upper clamping surface which is in contact with the test specimens has a continuous spiral grooves. A circular diaphragm of pure gum rubber is clamped between the lower clamping plate & pressure cylinder so that before the diaphragm is stretched by pressure underneath it the center of its upper surface is below the plane of the clamping surface.

The “Asian” Box Compression Tester made of a set of plates one is attached to the load measuring arrangement and the other is movable plate which is move with the help of motor, gearbox, and screw and nut arrangement, the movable plate have the facility of over travel and under travel. The load measuring arrangement is digital type. The box of which the compression strength is to be determined is placed on the lower plate, due to the motion of the movable plate the box is compressed and the compression load is directly read out on the digital indicator on the panel. The deflection of the box also measured with the help of the digital deflection indicator.

The range of Humidity Chambers available with us is cubical in shape. The inner body of the chamber is manufactured using stainless steel and latest machines. Further, the chamber has a stainless steel water tank at the bottom and an immersed heater is fitted to the tank for making humidity. Two wire mesh trays are fitted to the chamber. These trays are removable and hold the test specimen. The chamber also has a hinged door having a glass window at the front. In order to make these chambers resistant against corrosion, we manufacture the outer body using mild steel which is power coated. Furthermore, the mains, humidity controller and digital temperature & switches for heating, cooling & humidity are mounted on a control panel. The heating and cooling process is done by heaters and compressors respectively. Temperature and humidity sensors are fitted within the chamber.

The “Asian” Elmendorf Tearing Strength Tester consists of a brass sector pendulum pivoted on anti friction ball bearings over a vertical bracket fixed on a rigid metallic base. The test specimen, in shape of a rectangular, is held between two clamps, one of which is mounted on a pendulum and the other is mounted on the vertical bracket.
The clamps are mounted in such a manner that their holding faces are aligned with each other when pendulum is released by lifting a release lever the action cause the pendulum to fall down under its weight & to tear the test specimen while doing so.
The energy absorbed during tearing is indicated on a scale fitted on pendulum by a low friction pointer pivoted on the axis of the pendulum. An adjustable knife is also mounted on the pendulum upper bracket is centered between the two clamps & is used for making the initial slit in the test specimen.
A check weight is supplied with the tester for verification of the scale. The instruments is finished is metallic painting and bright chrome plating to give it a corrosion resistant finish.
