Asian direct reading specific gravity balance provides a simple and quick mean to read directly the specific gravity of rubber and other elastomers. Thus reducing labour and eliminating calculations. The time taken to find out specific gravity of a sample is only about half a minute. The balance consists of a rigid scale with specific gravity (sg) printed on standing vertically on a heavy base plate. To the center point at the scale, through jewel bearings to minimize the friction, a balancing arm is pivoted. At one end of the arm two stainless steel pins are hanging with yarns. One of the pin is attached with glass jar kept on the base. A guard is provided to avoid accidental falling of the jar during use. At the other and of the balancing arm a pointer is fixed which indicates the specific gravity of materials under test. A sliding weight is also provided for initial balancing of the sample of different weight a leveling of the base plate. Two models of balance, one with range of specific gravity between 0. 9 to 3. 0’’ the second with range of specific gravity / between 0. 2to2. 0 are available. A sample of any shape weighing between 5 and 12g can be tested in the first modal, that weighing between 3 and 5g can be tested in the second model, and that weighing between 1and 2g can be tested in the third made. In case of second and third model, the lower pin is quite heavy and also acts as sinker. Also in these models the glass jar is kept on the base of a frame, which can be slided up and down on a rod fixed to the base plate to cover the full range at specific gravity. |

IRHD type asian hardness tester made a vertical plunger. The lower side of the plunger has an indenter. The lower shape of the indenter is ball type of specified dimension. The upper sides of the plunger have a good eclectic conductive tip. The weight of the plunger and fitting attached to it is the minor force. A big brass weight is the major force of the specified weight. A dial gauge is attached to the instrument for the measurement of the penetration depth of the indenter to the rubber. An electricity operated buzzer, for gently vibrating the apparatus to overcome the slight friction is mounted under the cover of the instrument. The tester is finished in NC based painting and bright chrome plating to give it a corrosion resistance finish. |

Asian din abrasion tester is designed to determine abrasion resistance index of natural and synthetic rubber in accordance with the above principle. It consists of test specimen holder with a cylindrical opening adjustable between 15. 5 to 16. 3 mm to clamp the test specimen with an arrangement to adjust the length of test specimen protruding out. The holder is mounted by a screw mechanism along a length of a rotating drum on which the abrasive cloth is fixed. The movement to the screw mechanism and drum is given by an electric motor, gearbox and chain mechanism to give the specified speed of rotation to the drum and the specified lateral movement to the test specimen holder. The swivel arm and test specimen holder are so disposed that the test specimen is pressed against the drum under the specified load with its center axis at an inclination of 3 degree to the perpendicular in the direction of rotation and placed above the longitudinal axis of drum. A rack and pinion arrangement to rotate the test specimen about its axis during the test (whenever desired) is also provided. The abrasive cloth is firmly fixed to the drum using a suitable peel able adhesive with the ends of the abrasive cloth butt jointed together. The equipment is provided with limit switches which, in addition of giving over travel safety to the movement of test holder by preventing the lower edge of the test specimen holder to touch the abrasive cloth. The equipment is built on rigid steel base and finished in grey metallic and bright chrome / zinc plating to give it a corrosion resistant finish. Moulding die, rotary type cutting die (hollow drill) for preparing test specimens and extra abrasive cloth are available as optional accessories.

Asian de mattia flex tester has a set of grips to hold test specimens in two tiers with their holding faces lying in the same vertical plane. Holding one end of the test specimen in a fixed grip and the other end in a reciprocating grip provides the flexing and unflexing action. The set of grip has two-fixed grip and one large reciprocating grip positioned between them in order to flex half of the test specimen while the other half is being unflexed. The reciprocating grip is slide on hardened and ground rods made of high carbon steel. The reciprocating motion is provided by an eccentric and linkage mechanism driven by an electric motor through V-belt and pulleys. A six digit electronic counter is provided for indicating the number of the test cycles undergone. The equipment is build on a rigid fabricated base plate and finished in metallic painting and bright chrome/zinc plating to give it a corrosion resistant finish. Moulding dies for preparing test specimen, and jig and punch assembly for making initial crack in test specimen for crack growth test are available as optional accessories. The asian ‘compressibility and recovery tester of gasket material’ Consist of an anvil- a hardened and ground surface on which the sample is placed. There are a set of steel cylindrical shape penetrators of specified sizes and shape according to the material test (as per table 1). There are two dials also mounted on the anvil for the measurement of the thickness of the test specimen at the time of preloading and the total load. There are two digital dials so that by taking the average value you can measure the accurate thickness. There is the window based software in the load monitor for the application of preload and major load for the specified period after that buzzer give the indication to note the dial gauge reading. Preload – a preload which shall include the weight of the penetrator itself and added weight of the penetrator itself and added weights to give the value specified within ± 1%. Preloads for various types of gasket materials are as shown in table 1, unless otherwise specified. There is a selector switch on the control panel for the setting of load conditions as given below. |

The asian smoke visibility tester made of a plywood chamber inner side painted by heat proof paint the ceiling of the chamber have a hole which permit to hold light meter cell while testing. There is a hole in the bottom of the chamber, which is aligning to the ceiling hole. There is a clear glass bulb fitted to the bottom hole. Left-hand side of the chamber has a hole, an exhaust fan fitted to the left hand side hole. Right hand side have hole which permit to flow air at the time of the exhaust of the smoke to the chamber. Oxygen index is defined as minimum concentration of oxygen, expressed as volume percent in a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen that just support flaming combustion of plastic materials under equilibrium condition of candle like burning. The equilibrium is established by the relation between the net lost to the surroundings as measured by either time of burning or length of specimen burned. This point is approached from both sides of the critical oxygen concentration in order to establish the oxygen index. |

The “Asian vertical rebound apparatus” contest on a rigid carted base. The base has three leveling bolts and the sprit level .the instrument is level with the help of the leveling bolts and the sprit level. There is a stainless steel plunger of specified weight. The plunger is guide with the help of stainless steel guide rod. At the top there is a plunger trigger,which hold the plunger with the force of spring. The resilience scale is mounted on the front of the plunger guide so as easily read out the percent resilience. The resilience scale is marked in 100 equal spaced divisions. The top of the plunger is in line with 100 on the scale when the plunger is locked at the elevated position.
All the parts of the instruments are either chrome plated or panted for the corrosion resistance long life. |
